Philosophy
It is the philosophy of ROI
that children and adolescents with autism require a holistic approach to treatment. Our primary areas of
focus are on increasing communication, addressing sensory processing disorders and in teaching functional academics and activities
of daily living in both clinical and community-based settings. We strive to connect families with on-site
support services such as Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Dietitians, and Behavioral Specialists to meet the individual
needs of each student.

Services
Organizing the Pieces - This intensive treatment program teaches parents to implement treatment strategies
identified during the assessment process. In this program, parents accompany their children to our educational
center three hours each day for a 4-week period. Families may elect to attend either morning, or afternoon
sessions. The program is divided into a combination of individual parent education, hangs-on training utilizing
principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis, interactive play and socialization activities.
Ongoing Consultation – Once families have completed the intensive treatment program, ongoing consultation
with our therapists either in your home or at our center. The purpose of these sessions is to help families
modify their treatment objectives as they are mastered, establish teaching procedures, interpret data collected, provide ongoing
assessment, and troubleshooting.
Individual Tutoring – Trained tutors conduct individual treatment sessions with the child to increase instructional
control, improve communication, or modify problem behaviors. Video-taping and parent / staff observation
is available and encouraged. Therapists are available to conduct tutoring upon request. Sessions
are available 1-3 times weekly.
Behavioral Assessment and Treatment – Therapists address specific behavioral challenges identified
by parents and establish written treatment objectives.
